Merry Christmas huggs to everyone on the whole internet! I hope everyone gets what they truly want and that they can find a little peace and happiness in their lives today.
Spinner Grace put up an online Christmas tree with decorations from her little girl friends. I think it’s the prettiest tree they’ve done yet.
Here is one of my favorite Christmas songs, from the great old movie Meet Me In St. Louis. Judy Garland sings it at the darkest moment of the film. She is trying to cheer up her little sister, who is
heartbroken about having to leave their home town.
There’s been a lot of messages in the media lately about how we are all sick of hearing Christmas carols, how it’s the same thing year after year, and that the whole season is about shopping and materialism and the economy. I guess this resonates with the kind of Americans who prefer music from Justin Timberlake and Britney and that whole crew of slobs. I’m a little too old fashioned for that. Leave me to my Judy Garland and Johnny Mathis and Bing Crosby. Christmas carols will never die.
